About
In 2024, the stars seemed to be aligning for singer and songwriter Puck. She found her musical home at Verhalenmakers, the new label founded by Nielson. He took her along as a support act and guest artist during two tours and dozens of other shows. Just as a brand-new album was ready to take the Netherlands by storm, her father suddenly passed away.
Puck processed her loss by writing Blauwe Vlinder, with which she picked up the thread again in 2025. She discovered that such a personal song could also have a universal resonance during her sold-out show at Club Nine Tivoli. It inspired her to create a special podcast with 3FM DJ Nellie Benner, in which they spoke openly about grief and the power of music. A week later, Nellie went viral with an emotional introduction to Blauwe Vlinder on 3FM, generating more than a quarter of a million views. This brought Puck to the attention of, among others, Radio 5 and Giel Beelen, whom she left speechless when she performed the song live on YourSafe Radio.
Puck has since updated her album to reflect the person she has become. The first taste, Vrede, a powerful self-love anthem, became the soundtrack to the online campaign “Echt = Sterk,” through which MIND Us aims to encourage young people to be open about their mental health. Together with booking agency Your Agency, Puck plans to make her mark on the stage in the coming year. If her latest release, Witte Vlag, is anything to go by, Puck is undoubtedly an artist to watch.
